It's been a month since the shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary. President Obama has made his proposals for gun control.

Executive orders include more data for abckground checks and restarting research into gun violence.

While the President spoke, Shreveport's Cash In a Flash Pawn Shop owner Allan Matthews and his team paid close attention to his words.

Matthews says he's glad three main issues his customers are concerned with are now in the hands of Congress--Limiting high capacity magazines, banning assault weapons, and background checks at gun shows.

"I feel confident they will not ban assault weapons or the magazines. What I hope they do address is mental health issues, and how we can best keep our children safe in school," Matthews said.
