Local journalist will soon be laid to rest

Funeral arrangements have been made for former Shreveport Times writer and editor Jim Montgomery.

Visitation for Montgomery will be held from 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on 1835 Marshall Street.

Montogmery's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Chapel at Centenary College. His burial will be in Springhill.

Montgomery, 67, passed away over the weekend after a battle with lung cancer.
