Local Red Cross hosting flu clinic Tuesday in response to vaccine shortage

The local American Red Cross is responding to a recent flu vaccine shortage by holding a clinic Tuesday.

From 10 A.M. until 5 P.M. (or until they sell out) flu shots will be available for $25.00 at their Shreveport office at 805 Brook Hollow Drive.  Everyone five years old and over can come get their vaccine, and protect themselves from catching the potentially deadly virus.

Officials recommend coming early because they've received a lot of calls from people interested in the clinic.  They say some area pharmacies have sold out of their supply, and that's why they're giving out the last of their shots during the clinic.

Pneumonia shots will also be on-hand for $30.00.
