It was a scary commute for a group of college students after someone allegedly slammed into a Bossier Parish Community College transportation van and then took off.

The accident happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Hearne and Malcolm.

Authorities say someone struck the van and fled the scene but no one was injured in the wreck.

A second transportation van was brought to the location to transport the students to the campus.
