The Martin Luther King, Jr. parade planned in North Shreveport has been rescheduled.

It was supposed to roll out Saturday Jan.12 but due to the inclement weather the parade will now roll out on Saturday Jan. 26 at 11 a.m.

The MLK Community Development Corporation will hold the event to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Chief Judge Carl E. Stewart of the US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will serve as Grand Marshall.

Area drill teams and bands are also expected to participate in the event.

The parade will kick off on Russell Road, proceed down MLK Dr. and end at the Southern University parking lot.
