Homegoing celebration planned for local football coach

Funeral arrangements have been made for Bossier High School football coach Ricky Brown.
Loved ones will pay tribute to Brown during the family hour that will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Memorial Funeral Home on 4043 Hwy 79 in Homer.
Brown's funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Victory Praise and Worship Center on 479 Taylor Road in Minden.
The repass will be at the Haynesville Community Center, formerly known as the AARP, located next to the high school football practice field.
A
memorial fund has been set up at the Bossier Federal Credit Union under the
name The Ricky L. Brown Family Benefit Account. The member number is #115974.
Donations will also be accepted at Bossier High School. You may contact
Christy Roge' at 549-6684 with any questions regarding donations.
Meanwhile, Bossier High School will be holding a school-wide memorial service for Brown at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon in the auditorium.
Early
Tuesday morning Brown,35, passed away from a heart attack. He taught earth and
physical science and he also was the football team's offensive coordinator.
Brown is survived by his wife and three
children.
