Shreveport police on the lookout for armed robbery suspects

Authorities are searching for suspects in two different armed robberies in Shreveport.
On Monday night two men allegedly robbed the Thrifty Liquor in the 8400 block of Linwood Avenue.
Witnesses told police two masked men entered the store armed with semi-automatic handguns and demanded money from the cash registers.
The men fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Both suspects are described as black males. One suspect stands between five feet ten inches and six feet tall with a thin build and wearing all dark outer clothing along with a white T-shirt.
The second suspect also stands between five feet ten inches and six feet tall with a thin build and was wearing a light grey hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans.
Almost an hour later, Shreveport police responded to an armed robbery at the Family Dollar in the 2700 block of W. 70th Street.
Witnesses told authorities that a man entered the store wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a black bandana covering his face and informed employees that the store was being robbed.
The suspect demanded money at gunpoint and then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
