The Bossier High School Football team remembers Ricky Brown.
He passed away early morning Jan. 8. He was 35 years old. Brown was the team's offensive coordinator. He also served
as the assistant track coach and he taught science at the high school.
"It's been a shock for everybody. You just don't
expect it," said David Thrash, principal of Bossier High School. Thrash said he
hired Brown four years ago, the same day he interviewed him.
"He was a great family man. He cares for his wife and his
children. He spends a lot of time with them," said Anthony Johnson, the
defensive coordinator for the Bearkats. Johnson said he talked to Brown hours
before he passed, discussing with him plans for the track team.
Brown leaves behind three children- Trinity, Kimora, and
Aaron- and his wife, Mia. A fund is being set up; you can contact
Bossier High School for more information. Students are in the initial stages of
planning a memorial in his honor.
