A suspect in a fatal shooting in Shreveport's Queensborough neighborhood has surrendered to authorities.

Cordavien Anderson, 20, turned himself in at Shreveport Police headquarters on Monday, according to Cpl. Marcus Hines.

Police had made several attempts to locate Anderson following a shooting in the 2700 block of Mable around 6:30 p.m. Monday evening.

The victim suffered at least one gunshot wound and was taken to LSU Health where he was pronounced dead.

According to authorities, the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two men.

Cpl. Hines says Anderson remains housed in the Shreveport City jail on charges of second degree murder.

Three individuals have been murdered in Shreveport in the first seven days of 2013, according to police.
