The musical production From Elvis to Hank to Johnny: Celebrating 65 years of the Louisiana Hayride, will be held at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.

This is the first of a five-concert series which is a result of a partnership with Oxford American.  It will explore Louisiana's diverse musical heritage across the state.

Lt. Governor Dardenne said, "We hope folks will embrace the new date and come to the historic Shreveport Municipal Auditorium to experience an authentic salute to north Louisiana's music."

A panel discussion about Louisiana music featuring local music experts moderated by Oxford American music issue guest editor Alex Rawls is scheduled for 2 p.m.

There will be a screening at 4 p.m. of Sunshine by the Stars, a made-for-TV film highlighting Louisiana music hosted by Harry Connick Jr. and produced by LPB.

Later that evening Shreveport-based band Dirtfoot will open the concert at 7 p.m.

There will also be performances by the legendary Louisiana Hayride Band featuring Maggie Warwick and other north Louisiana music legends.
