Past GM plant could bring new jobs to Shreveport

We will soon learn what the future holds for the old GM plant in Shreveport.

Wednesday Caddo Commissioner Ken Epperson confirmed that a prospective buyer has been found for the facility.

A noon press conference will be held Thursday outlining what will happen to the former GM plant.

The 1.8 million square foot building with more than 18 miles of conveyor line for assembly shut down in August after producing 4.5 million vehicles in its more than 30 years of production.
