LSU never trailed in the Chick-fil-A Bowl until the clock read zero.

Chandler Cantanzaro's 37-yard field goal as time expired gave Clemson a 25-24 win over the LSU.

The Bayou Bengals appeared to be in control after Drew Alleman drilled a 20-yard field goal to give LSU a 24-13 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but LSU's vaunted defense allowed Clemson (11-2) to score 12 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to finish off LSU.

Both teams struggled to protect the quarterback. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was sacked six times for 41 yards. Meanwhile, Zack Mettenberger was dropped five times for 28 yards.
