Man accused of raping his estranged wife's daughter goes to jail

A Natchitoches man has been arrested in connection with an aggravated rape.

A woman called authorities on Friday night alleging that her estranged husband, Casey Smith had raped her daughter while at her home in Provencal.

Smith, 31, was taken into custody early Saturday morning by members of the Natchitoches SWAT team after negotiators set up a perimeter around his house.

Smith has been booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center and charged with one count of Aggravated Rape.
