SHREVEPORT, LA - The University of Lousiana-Monroe and the University of Ohio held their first practice sessions since arriving in Shreveport for the Independence Bowl.

Lightning zapped the Bobcats plans for an outdoor rehearsal. With a 12:30pm practice scheduled and lightning buzzing through the Ark-la-tex skies, Frank Solich pulled-the-plug on practicing outdoors at Independence Stadium.

Instead, the Bobcats opted for an indoor walk-through at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Contrastly, ULM was able to hold their practice outdoors at the I-Bowl.

The Warhawks 3:30pm start time allowed the lightning to clear, allowing ULM to take the field for an outdoor practice session.

Louisiana-Monroe head coach Todd Berry's Warhawks practiced for nearly two hours under rainy conditions.

Both teams will resume practice on Wednesday, Dec. 26th.
