Holidays bring crime along with a season of goodwill.
"It's unfortunate that is a part of what we see during the holidays. Petty crimes. Purse snatchings and things of that nature," Shreveport Police Clp. Marcus Hines said.
Just ask Ellen Hall. Last Sunday she pulled into her mother's drive way around 6pm.
"I put my purse on the floor because I was about to carry a big pan with ham in it for dinner," Hall said.
It's when she got home there was a problem.
"I got into my car and a man with a hood over his head, opened the passenger side and took my purse," Hall said.
Police say that it's best to only open one door at a time and if you can be out during the holidays without a purse, it's a better option.
