Local police officers involved in a fatal shooting in Caddo Parish will not be charged.

Donnie Plater led officers on a brief chase on Oct. 24 after fatally shooting his estranged wife, Cindy West, inside their vehicle on George Road.

Authorities say Plater later got out of his car and started firing at police.

The final investigation report, which was looked into by the Caddo Parish District Attorney's office, concluded the use of deadly force was reasonable and criminal charges against the officers in this matter are not appropriate.
