LSU Punter Brad Wing Clipped from Chick-fil-A Bowl

Punter Brad Wing has been suspended for the game after a violation of team rules.
For many teams, the loss of a punter is a mere inconvenience; but for LSU, who relies heavily on field position, Wing's absence could prove detrimental.
The Ray Guy Award semifinalist finished fourth in the SEC in 2012 with a 44.8-yard average. Wing finished second in the SEC in 2011 with a 44.4-yard average.
The suspension isn't Wing's first brush with negative headlines.
The sophomore punter from Australia's most memorable moment came in 2011, when he had a touchdown run on a fake punt revoked because of a gesture he made toward a Florida defender prior to crossing the goaline.
It was the result of a first-year rule against taunting and remains the only time it has been enforced.
LSU head coach Les Miles did not immediately comment on his suspension.
The Tigers will face Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Dec. 31st in Atlanta, GA.
