Updated: December 20, 2012

Grab your party hat, some canned goods and get ready to celebrate the end of the world.

You are invited to a special benefit to mark the end of the world being held by the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

According to the ancient Mayan Calendar, Dec. 21, 2012 is the "End" of the World as we know it.

Buddy Flett and Robin & the Bluebirds will provide entertainment with a big show and dance.

The celebration kicks off Friday at 8 p.m. at the Riverside Warehouse on 630 Commerce Street.

You can bring non-perishable food items or make a monetary donation to the food bank. The cost for the benefit is $5 per person.
