The Providence House is one of the non-profits hit hard by the mid-year state budget cuts. According to Executive  Director Simone Hennessee, the non-profit will lose more than $100,000 in funding.

It is losing $46,000 from its domestic violence safe house program and $106,000 from its Homeless Transitional Living Program.

The Providence House has already cut the number of families it serves in 2012 by 25 percent.
