Business leaders discuss future of higher ed

The future of higher education in Northwest Louisiana brings together local business leaders. The Shreveport-Bossier Business Alliance for Higher Education hosted a launch event Tuesday.

Members of the state's higher education governing boards were invited to speak about reorganization efforts. They also addressed budgetary challenges facing institutions.

The SBBA believes there's value in having a regional group supporting local schools. The group is made up of the Bossier and Shreveport Chambers of Commerce along with other members of the business community.
