People were able to weigh in on the I-49 inner-city connector today during the third and final open house soliciting public comment.
This one took place at the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
Debra Seamster, president of the Allendale, Lakeside and Ledbetter Heights Partership says she doesn't want I-49 going through the inner-city she represents, but prefers Plan Four to others.
Seamster, who also is on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the I-49 Inner-city Connector, said
"My understanding is that we should go ahead and select an alternative plan in the event they override what the citizens want and decide to do this themselves."
Today's event was the last round of community input meetings; however, comments, questions and concerns can be submitted aytime through the project website: www.i49shreveport.com , email: email@example.com; or by regular mail: Providence c/o Inner City Coordinator, 1201 Main Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70816
