It's round two of public meetings for the long-anticipated Interstate 49 Inner-city Connector Project.  The construction could displace hundreds of people living in the Allendale community.

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church is one of 16 churches in Allendale that could be torn down.  Nothing has been decided yet, but here's the breakdown of how everything could work.

A total of four proposals are on the table.  The first two proposals could force the closure of 16 churches in the Allendale community.  It would costs thousands of dollars to rebuild those congregations.

Proposals three and four would cut through residential areas.  According to Pastor C.E. McLain upwards of 6,000 people live in the Allendale neighborhood.

Meetings will be held Wednesday at 11 am at Mount Canaan Baptist Church.  The final meeting this year will be held Thursday at noon at the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
