Western Kentucky Unveils Petrino

By: Lance Snow
Updated: December 10, 2012

He sat out one season, now he's back on the sideline.

Western Kentucky hires Former Arkansas football head coach Bobby Petrino as its next head football coach.

Petrino returns to the sideline after being fired by Arkansas prior to the 2012 season.

The coach was accused of giving financial gifts to a member of the Arkansas athletic department, with whom he was also having an extramarital affair.

His off-field decisions: questionable. His on-field success: indisputable.

Petrino's posted a 75-26 career record as a college head coach with seven bowl game appearances, including appearances in the 2011 BCS Sugar Bowl with the University of Arkansas and the 2007 BCS Orange Bowl with the University of Louisville.
