Police arrest suspect in Texarkana shooting

A suspect is behind bars for allegedly shooting a Texarkana man.

Shalontay Johnson, 20, is accused of shooting Gary Brown, 28, in the stomach Wednesday following a disturbance in the 1100 block of Casteel Street.

Johnson was arrested a short time later and booked into the Bi-State Justice Center.

Johnson has been charged with aggravated assault.
