A Shreveport man has been arrested for taking money from his church.
Tuesday detectives with the Caddo Parish Financial Crimes Task Force arrested Leland Jamison for forgery.
Between June and November Jamison is accused of stealing over $16,000 from Little Union Baptist Church where he was a bookkeeper.
Jamison allegedly wrote 36 checks to himself and forged the signatures of the two deacons who were authorized signers on the account.
