TBF junior world championship causes excitement in Caddo Parish

The Bass Federation has announced the Caddo Parish Commission and the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission will present the 2013 TBF Junior World Championship.

The event will be held Aug. 15-17 at the Earl Williamson Park in Oil City.

More than 80 TBF junior state champions, one in both the 11-14 and 15-18 age brackets from 41 states, will compete for championship titles and thousands of dollars in college scholarships.

The world championship will open with registration and a welcome banquet on Thursday followed by two full days of competition on Friday and Saturday.

The event also will include games, entertainment and sponsor prizes for the crowd.
