Nearly a
hundred students are taking part in the voucher program in Caddo Parish. Wednesday was the first court day for teachers
unions filing suit against Act Two. That's
the law that expanded the state's voucher program.
There was a
protest in Baton Rouge Wednesday morning involving supporters of vouchers. They believe it gives students a chance to
seek a better education. A decision
isn't expected to be handed down until later this week.
The Bossier
Parish School Board is a plaintiff in the lawsuit. While Caddo's school board supports the legal
measures in Baton Rouge.
Earlier
this week a Baton Rouge federal judge put the brakes on the voucher program in
Tangipahoa Parish.
