Updated: November 21, 2012

More than 700 children will be on hand to kickoff the 25th Annual Greening of the museum.

Every year the museum invites third graders from area schools to participate in the holiday celebration.

Students will help make ornaments and decorate Christmas trees. The trees will later be judged in a contest and the first prize winner will receive $150.

Students also will enjoy a performance of The Ugly Duckling by the Shreveport Opera Express.

The event will be held November 29th from 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon.

The trees will be on display through the end of the year.
