Convenience store robbery being investigated by local police

Authorities are investigating the robbery of a  South Shreveport convenience store.

Police says it happened Saturday just after 7 P.M. at a Shell on the 9400 block of Mansfield Road.

A man allegedly went into the store, showed a semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money for the clerk.

The clerk handed over the cash inside the register, and the man fled the store.

The suspect is described as being a black male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans, black shoes and baseball cap.  If you have information about this crime, you're asked to call CrimeStoppers at 673-7373.
