Two separate stabbings over the weekend kept Shreveport police officers busy.

The first one occurred Saturday night around 10 P.M. on Buncombe Road.  Merlin Izaguirre, 37, was transported to the hospital with stab wounds to his upper torso and arm.

The suspect was found a short time later with blood on his hands and clothing in the area.

Benedicto Aguilar, 54, was charged and booked on aggravated robbery charges.

The second incident happened early Sunday morning just after 1 A.M. on Henderson Avenue.  Jerry Coleman, 42, was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds to his lower torso that police are calling potentially life-threatening injuries.

No one has been arrested in this case, but a group of men are suspected of stabbing Coleman.  Call Crimestoppers with any information.
