Three local men are behind bars this afternoon after being arrested Wednesday night for allegedly robbing a popular south Shreveport restaurant.
Myles Robinson, 19, Tremario Washington, 22, and Halston Smith, 21, all of Shreveport were arrested and charged with armed robbery.
At approximately 11:42 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2012, Shreveport police officers were dispatched to the Outback Steakhouse in the 8800 block of Line Avenue after an employee of the business reported that three armed suspects entered the restaurant and robbed the business at gunpoint.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the bandits fled the scene of the crime in a vehicle. Moments later, members of the Robbery Intervention Detail disrupted the suspects' get-away plans.
The suspects led police in a brief car chase, which ended in the arrest of the three armed men. Robinson, of the 9100 block of Bushnell Lane, Washington, of the 2600 block of Meadow Lane, and Smith of the 9400 block of Amity Way were taken into custody and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted detectives with the SPD's Robbery Intervention Detail.
Authorities believe the men possibly are responsible for upwards of a dozen armed robberies occurring over several weeks, and spanning multiple jurisdictions.
