For the last two weeks and more Fridays to come, the Shreveport Police will be sporting their mobile command unit around town, all in an effort to recruit as many men and woman as possible. Sergeant Ron Vanni, says “we are already behind the curve even after hiring this class which is fixing to start February 20th.” The Shreveport Police Department, even though they are low in recruit numbers still say not everyone will make a perfect fit for the for the force. There are very vigorous physical tasks recruits must perform and some instructors at the police academy say some recruits realize they arent fit enough to where the black and gold. Before you head on over to the police academy to start training you need to find one of these mobile units which will be on sight throughout Shreveport in the coming days. The number to call for more information is 673-7151.
