The Shreveport pair dubbed "The Jet Ski Bandits" today each entered a guilty plea to armed robbery in lieu of a jury trial.
Lanorris Weathers, 38, was sentenced by Caddo District Judge Ramona Emanuel to 45 years in prison at hard labor for trying to rob a local casino.
Weathers was apprehended inside the casino by security personnel after an employee in the cashier's cage managed to grab the handgun Weathers had laid on a counter while retrieving money.
Regis D. Hamilton, 22, was sentenced to 10 years in prison at hard labor for his part in the robbery.
Hamilton, who was observed outside the casino cruising the river while waiting for Weathers, was captured later when police found the watercraft abandoned on the river bank and tracked him to a wooded area
