Homicide investigation: woman found dead in a field in Southwest Shreveport

A woman's body was found around 8 o'clock this morning by a jogger off Williamson Way near Mansfield road, behind the old AT&T building.

According to Shreveport Police, she was an older woman and suffered some type of bodily trauma.

Police say a woman in Natchitoches is being questioned by authorities after she was found driving the car belonging to the woman foudn dead in the field.

At this point neither of the women are being identified, meanwhile police continue to investigate the link between them.

"Any time there is an incident like this it's so important for anyone with information to come forward. At this point we're trying to determin the circumstances," Shreveport Police Clp. Marcus Hines said.
