Chaos in the courtroom as convicted cop killer Christopher Cope is sentenced to life in prison. During today's sentencing, Matthew Prunty Jr., the vicitim's nephew jumped the courtroom rail, lunging at Cope after his defense attorney said they will appeal.

Just moments before, the judge handed down a life sentence for Cope, who is convicted of shooting and killing Shreveport Police Sgt. Timothy Prunty in 2010. "The emotions were very high in this case. Our sympathies are with the Prunty family," Cope's attorney Bruce Whitaker said.

"I just feel for the pain this fool put his own family through and the pain for the victim. A good man died," Robert Mclane said.
