Bossier Sheriff looking for owner of loose horse

The Bossier Sheriff's Office is looking for the owner of a horse that was corralled by deputies earlier in the week.

Officials at the sheriff's office tell NBC 6 News that the animal was picked up in the vicinity of the 4300 block of Highway 527 in south Bossier Parish on Nov. 6th.

According to the sheriff's office, the owner has until Nov. 21st to claim the horse before the animal will be sold at public auction. 

The owner must also reimburse the Bossier Sheriff's Office for the costs of care, custody and control before the animal will be released.
