Voters in Louisiana's 4th Congressional District have sent Republican Rep. John Fleming back to Washington. Fleming garnered 177,833 votes to Libertarian challenger Randall Lord's 51,955 votes.
Lord said he ran in order to give people a choice. There was no Democrat challenger in the race. This will be Fleming's third term. He was elected in 2008, after long-time 4th District Rep. Jim McCrary retired.
Fleming, a medical doctor and entrepreneur owning more than 30 Subway fast-food restaurants in North Louisiana, is a conservative Republican who consistently fought the Obama Administration's Affordable Care Act, dubbed "Obamacare."
