Benton voters return Mayor, Police Chief to office

     Incumbent Benton Mayor Wayne Cathcart handily won re-election over opponent Ken Shiflett with an unofficial vote of 666 or 74.40 percent to 223 or 25.60 percent.

In addition, voters sent incumbent police chief, Charles Pilkinton back to work with 648 votes, or 74.40 percent of the vote to challenger Gen Hillen's 223 votes or 25.60 percent.
