Shreveport man has Romney yard signs vandalized 14 times

The first time might have been a prank. The second time, possibly an accident.

But after having political signs supporting Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney stolen or vandalized 13 previous times in his yard, home owner Jim O'Brock decided to finally find the culprit.

O'Brock set up a surveillance camera and recorded an unknown individual destroying the signs at his home near Jewella Avenue and Milam Street in Shreveport.

"My son had a dash camera and he gave it to me so I decided to put it up in the woods to see just who was doing this," said O'Brock. "This guy destroyed the signs, but others have just taken them."

O'Brock says he recorded the incident on November 3rd and put it on YouTube later in the day.

According to O'Brock, his goal isn't to get the culprit arrested, in fact he has not yet contacted local authorities about the vandalism. His goal is to let people know how some are going to extremes in a political season that has been volatile.

O'Brock does have one piece of advise to pass along to those who may think about vandalizing his yard signs moving forward.

"In this day, it's hard to do anything where you are not being video tape," he said.
