Final two Thursdays at Fair to be "Dollar Days"

Since Dollar Day on opening day was such a success, the State Fair of Louisiana is bringing it back every Thursday for the remainder of the fair, and on those days, the carnival will open at 10 am with $1 rides and select $1 food items.

  Parking and gate admission is free until 3 p.m., and after 3 p.m.,  it's $1 gate admission, $1 parking and select $1 foods from participating vendors.  

    In addition to discounted gate admission, there's plenty to do at the fair, including free concerts from the following artists and groups:

Chase Stites

Palmer & The Panhandlers

Charlie Robison

Gospel Celebration

Chris Canterbury

Frank Foster

Texaco Country Showdown Regionals

And free attractions that include:

Ultimate Safari

Circus Hollywood

BMX Pros Trick Team

The Great American Duck Race

Galaxy Girl Aerial Thrill Show

Dallas the Fire Guy

The Clown of Many Faces

Nicktorious the Escape Artist

Plus, the PRCA Pro Rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 & 3 in Hirsch Memorial Coliseum.

In addition, Friday, Nov. 2 is Tough Enough to Wear Pink! Wear pink to the Rodeo and $2 of each admission will be donated to the Northwest Louisiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
