Transportation available for people who wish to vote early

The Shreveport Branch of the NAACP is offering free transportation during early voting, as well as transportation to polls on election day.  Anyone who needs transportation to the polls should call (318) 828-1905 to schedule pickup. Churches, day care centers and other entities that have passenger vans available to transport people to vote should also call the above number.

  Following are the times and dates transportation will be available:

  Early voting times: 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, Friday, Oct. 27 and Tuesday, Oct. 30.

  Election Day, Nov. 6, 2012  

  8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday
