When the missing plane from Harrison County was found with no survivors, many in Marshall reacted with disbelief. Pamela Lebetter knew one of the victims, Chuck Ford, for ten years.
"I just - I sat on the end of the bed and cried. I couldn't believe it."
Ford's close friend and co-worker Mike Ritter was supposed to be on the the flight that went missing in Wyoming. He had flown to Georgia in the same plane only a week before. He says the city of Marshall is giving he, the company, and the victims' families the support they need.
"It's a remarkable community. Marshall's a very special place, and yeah, the community has really responded like they always do in times of tragedy."
Also aboard the doomed flight were James Morgan, Maverick Cayce, and Billy Gee. Gee and Cayce piloted the plane; Morgan worked for CW Ford Rentals. All four men leaved behind loved ones, and a community shocked by their loss.
