Shreveport Lawn Parking Citiation Numbers...in Bossier not an issue.

According to the Downtown Development Authority, since September 24th when the new ordinance in Shreveport kicked in for lawn parking penalties, the city has issued 52 citations.

Out of those 52, only 13 have been paid. All the citations were for $100 each and totaled $1,300 in fines.

Meanwhile across the river in Bossier, this issue is nonexistent. Parking on your lawn is perfectly legal in Bossier and neighbors want to keep it that way.

"I'm really glad Bossier doesn't. I've been parking on the street sides and my cars have been hit. Jacked. All that stuff. I got really sick of it so why not park on my grass and be a little bit safer," said Page Sherman.

We spoke with Bossier City Councilman Don Williams, he says this issue has not even remotely crossed Council's desk in terms of citizen concerns or complaints.
