North Caddo family business has big message for community

It's a local country business that has a big message for the community: Go out and vote.

This is the fourteenth year the billings family has designed, planted and grown a corn maze for families to enjoy on their North Caddo Parish farm.

Farm owner and dad of seven, Mike, says the Romney-Obama image covers eight acres of corn field, and takes a whole year of planning.

They say around thirty thousand people stop by their maze, and they hope their message gets more people to the polls.

"It has grown substantially we get thousands of people every year and it takes months to prepare now... The maze has actually three phases to it.  Two of them are not haunted and one of them is," said Mike Billings.

Each fall the Billings family gets busier thanks to the popularity of their corn maze growing.

After dark on weekends, the political-themed corn maze becomes haunted --- for those who want a spooky twist to their maze experience.
