Mayor
Cedric Glover continues to run the city, despite being in the hospital.
The mayor
tore tendons in both of his quadriceps after falling at Oak Park Microsociety
Elementary School.
City
Comunications Director Rod Richardson said the mayor will undergo surgery later
in the week.
"He's in good spirits
right now," said Richardson. "The Mayor
is working from the office which is the hospital now so we're taking documents
for him to sign and keeping him up to date on what's going on. He really
appreciates all their cards and the good wishes that people have sent to him
but he's still in charge and he's looking forward to getting back to his full
robust schedule."
Richardson
said the mayor will teleconference into the city council's meeting Tuesday. He
estimates it will be four to six weeks before the Mayor fully recovers. If you'd like to contact him, Richardson said
you can tweet him or send a card to his mayoral office.
