Jury selection begins in Christopher Cope trial

Jury selection began this afternoon in the first degree murder trial of Christopher Cope, who is accused of the Oct. 24, 2010, killing SPD Sgt. Tim Prunty outside a convenience store in south Shreveport

Caddo District Judge Scott Crichton is presiding; Caddo Parish ADA Brady O'Callaghan and First Assistant Dale Cox are prosecuting; and Dwight Doskey and Bruce Whittaker of the Capital Defense Project of Southeast Louisiana are the defense attorneys.
