The buzz around the newest film festival to hit Shreveport is growing by the minute. The first Louisiana Film Center starts Friday evening downtown.
You can finally see the twenty short films that were all shot in the Shreveport-Bossier area. They're showing at the Robinson film center, the Capri Theater and Artspace. Kicking off with a street party on Texas Avenue at 5 P.M. Friday, the films start rolling at 6 P.M.
"Those votes are fifty percent of the panel, and 50% audience voters. The community's vote and support is huge," said Sabrina Adsit, LA Film Prize Producer.
To vote, you must buy a ticket and see all twenty short films by Saturday night. Showings start Friday at 6 P.M. and run until 11:30 A.M. On Saturday, films will start at 10 A.M.
The winner of the $50,000 grand prize will be announced Sunday. Click here to buy tickets and see the schedule of showings. Click here for a link to download the app for the film festival.
