UPDATE: Shooting victim arrested

The victim of an overnight shooting in Shreveport is arrested.

 

The Shreveport Police Department says De'Angelo Davenport, 27, was shot near the 700 block of Tecumseh Trail by a man demanding money Friday. The suspect fired off at least two shots during a struggle with Davenport, striking him in the wrist. He is expected to recover.

 

Investigators later arrested Davenport for an outstanding warrant from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. Police have not said what charges he faces.

 

As for the gunman, police describe him as a black male, about 5'9" and wearing glasses. Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
