The Bossier Parish District Attorney's Office today presented a check to the Bossier Sheriff's Office in the amount of $13,366.28, representing funds from properties and monies seized from various drug investigations over the past several months.

The check was presented to Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington. The check represents 60% of the total amounts of vehicles, monies and bank accounts that were seized in eight different narcotics cases.

"These funds are a result of the tenacious work by our dedicated narcotics team we have here at the Bossier Sheriff's Office," Whittington, said. "It strengthens our resolve to keep drugs away from our children, and the monies will be used to continue to fight illegal drug activity in Bossier Parish."
