The second person accused of shooting a victim at an intersection in west Shreveport late last week has been arrested.
Robert "Raphael" Clark, 24, of the 8700 block of Janet Circle in Shreveport, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail at 2:15 this afternoon (Sept. 21, 2012) on one count of attempted second degree murder in connection with the shooting of 20-year-old Kortez Hobley on Sept. 14, 2012. Apparently, the men had apparently been involved in some sort of altercation outside of a convenience store near the intersection of Linwood Avenue and West 70th Street.
Hobley left the scene in a vehicle and Clark allegedly followed in another car, pulling up beside of the victim and firing multiple shots at him, striking him in the leg. Hobley was taken to LSU Medical Center where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Thursday, Detectives arrested 20-year-old Kijafa Edwards, of the 500 block of West 84th Street in Shreveport, for one count of principal to attempted second degree murder. Investigators believe Edwards was driving the car that Clark was riding in at the time he shot Hobley.
Today, Shreveport Police officers received information that Clark was hiding out in a home in the 2900 block of West Maple Street. When officers arrived at the Maple Street address, Clark was, indeed, found to be hiding out inside.
Clark surrendered to authorities and was taken into custody without incident. Following interviews with detectives, Clark was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on the outstanding warrant for attempted second degree murder.
